From 6th to 10th September 2026, Istanbul, Türkiye, hosted the World Buiatrics Congress 2026, one of the leading international events for professionals working in cattle and ruminant health.
Ceva took part in the congress with a dedicated symposium on reproduction, five oral presentations and twelve scientific posters covering herd health, reproduction and calf health.
Through these contributions, Ceva shared new scientific data and practical insights related to Q fever, vector-borne diseases, reproductive management, mastitis, bovine respiratory disease, pain assessment and responsible treatment strategies.

What did Ceva’s symposium focus on?
Ceva’s symposium took place on Tuesday 8th September, from 14:00 to 15:30, and focused on cattle reproduction under the title Breeding for the Future: Reproduction Management Drives Farm Sustainability.
The session featured three expert presentations. Professor Pietro Baruselli, from the University of São Paulo, discussed Fertility Programs in Cattle: How Reproductive Management Reduces Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Enhances Sustainability. Professor Paul Fricke, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, presented Foundational Reproduction Programs for Dairy Herds: How to Improve Breeding Efficiency? Finally, Dr Federico Randi, from Ceva Santé Animale, presented The Economic Impact of the Systematic Application of Fertility Programs in Dairy Herds: A European Perspective.
The symposium provided an opportunity to explore current scientific and practical approaches to reproductive management and discuss how reproductive strategies can support fertility, herd performance and farm sustainability.

What other scientific contributions did Ceva present?

What did visitors experience at the Ceva stand?
The booth offered an opportunity to meet Ceva’s teams, discuss the research presented and exchange knowledge about the main challenges currently affecting ruminant health.
Visitors to the Ceva booth were also able to take part in an interactive artificial intelligence experience.
Through this activity, attendees were invited to create their own AI-generated image, adding a creative and participatory element to Ceva’s scientific presence at the congress.

What were the key take-home messages?
Ceva’s participation in the World Buiatrics Congress 2026 reflected its ongoing commitment to advancing ruminant health through science, innovation and collaboration.
The reproduction symposium, oral presentations and scientific posters brought together research and practical insights across several key areas of veterinary medicine.
By combining scientific exchange with an interactive stand experience, Ceva connected with the international buiatric community and reinforced its commitment to supporting veterinarians and farmers in improving animal health, welfare and farm performance.
