Every year on October 15, the International Day of Rural Women recognises the essential contribution women make to rural communities, agriculture and food production around the world.

This year, Ceva is celebrating the occasion by highlighting some of the women within our Ruminants teams whose work keeps them closely connected to farmers, veterinarians, animals and rural communities.

These women bring a wealth of experience and perspectives to the sector, united by a strong commitment to ruminant health and to the people at the heart of rural communities.

International Day of Rural Women 2026

Their stories, experiences and perspectives

Different paths, one shared connection

From veterinary practice and scientific knowledge to One Health initiatives and collaboration across the ruminant value chain, these women represent different ways of contributing to rural communities.

What connects them is their understanding of the people and animals at the heart of the sector and their commitment to helping farmers and veterinarians face the challenges of today and tomorrow.

On International Day of Rural Women, Ceva celebrates not only the women working directly on farms, but also all those whose expertise, dedication and connection to the field help support healthier animals, stronger farms and resilient rural communities.

Happy International Day of Rural Women!
