We celebrate the World Milk Day
Back in 2001, the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations established the World Milk Day, highlighting the importance of milk as a global food. From that moment on, this celebration occurs each year on June 1st, promoting the benefits of milk and dairy products as well as recognizing how dairy supports livelihoods of one billion people.
Dairy is an accessible, affordable, and nutrient-dense food, and it is an essential part of balanced diets across the world. For this reason, this year’s theme will focus on the vital role dairy plays in delivering quality nutrition to nourish the world.
